Grad Banquet in 4 days! It's been so hectic lately having to drive around Vancouver back and forth, back and forth..I can't believe just how much preparation we're going through for just one evening. I don't even want to go to the aftergrad, so I'll be in and out of there within 3 hours. Oh well, at least we've got a photoshoot and limos booked too. AND MY DRESS, OOOOOH MY DRESS. I'm getting my fitting done tomorroooow~~

Apart from that...I've been wanting to get my full back kanji tattoo for quite some time now (it's the exact sutra that Miyavi has tattood on his back)- and after first agreeing to get it done when I was in Belgium, my mom and I had a discussion about, and eventually agreed upon me getting it done in Vancouver when I came back, because she really wanted to be there when I got it done. Alrightey: so we went to the place yesterday, "The Dutchman Tattoos" in burnaby; (I kid you not this woman at the front desk looked like a Chinese brothel owner/Madam, but anyway,)I gave her the photo, she looked at it and just went
"Hm, no! can't do it."
It just kind of slapped me in the face at the moment, but after some discussion the turn out was that my back isn't wide enough to fit all the characters, as well as that they would have to be very small which would cause them to blur into black blotches in the future. I actually had to try so hard not to cry in the shop...But she made me quite an amazing offer: they're very religious in the shop so they had scheduled for three Buddhist monks to come in from Asia (I'm not sure exactly where)to bless the shop, and they would ask the monks if they could condense the content of the sutra for me, so that we could figure out a way to make it fit. So we're going back tomorrow to see what's going to happen.

I'm still disappointed that I can't get what I initially wanted, but if it physically cannot happen, it can't happen, so I'm accepting that. Now I'm just figuring out what we can do instead. I've thought about getting Dir en grey song lyrics done, but then I'd want them translated from Hiragana into Kanji, which might not be 100% possible either, since some characters just don't exist in that alphabet. Bleh, I'm gonna keep pondering and browsing around I guess. Enough blabbering on for a day I think-I'm still at work anyway.
